To those not familiar, 311 has their own ‘holiday’= 3/11. It started in 2000 in New Orleans, where they played 47 songs– their longest setlist at the point. Fast forward to 2018, where they played 2 shows in Las Vegas combining for a total of 86 songs! To put it into perspective, they average 18 songs for a standard tour show. […]
311 @ Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island August 7, 2017 Love: The new (LED?) background. Added extra color while not being overly harsh (i.e. when glaring red lights ruin shooting).
Double the Hexum, double the fun! Only a couple days after 311’s double header in Vegas, I was able to shoot them again at Crossroads KC back in Kansas City. Crossroads is by far my favorite summer venue — outdoors and intimate. Matisyahu opened for the band.
It is no secret that I love 311 and am lucky enough to shoot them more than any other band. This year I had the pleasure of capturing one of two nights over 4th of July weekend at the Mandalay Bay pool.
Better late than never: 311 and Slightly Stoopid show at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO–August 19th, 2012.
When people think of paradise they probably don’t think of an all ages cruise. With bands. And drinking. And drinking games. And more bands. And sleep…wellll, you needs sleep when you’re in this kind of paradise, right? I mean sure you may have played flip cup before, but have you played it on a boat….in the Caribbean. Sure you’ve played […]
Let me start by saying I think 311 fans are widely misunderstood. Friends of 311 fans and most people on the “outside” will call what we do and love an obsession. By “do” I mean travel from city to city following them on tour, saving our paychecks to afford the next 311 cruise or 311 Day and meeting up with […]
Kansas City was lucky enough to get on 311’s winter schedule, however they did not get 2 sets due to it being a 4-act radio concert. Nevertheless, they put on a great show as always. I did not catch the first two openers of 96.5 The Buzz’s “Night the Buzz Stole XXX-mas,” but I was able to see Naked […]
Some people have their bucket list of things they would like to do before they die. Well I have a concert bucket list…a list of venues and bands I would like to cross off my list. One of the venues was Red Rocks in Morrison, CO; I had my sights set on 2 particular bands: 311 and Incubus. The stars […]
