Midnight Underground Circus
Live KC, the same organization that hosted the Fiery Stick Open and is marketed towards keeping millennials in Kansas City came out with their next big event: Midnight Underground Circus at Municipal Exhibition Hall (February 20, 2015). It was advertised as “part carnival, part circus and 100% party.” It had reimagined circus acts by the local performing arts troupe Quixotic, carnival games and the music to the adults ears: bottomless beer and bubbly. The biggest “get” of it all was a surprise at the stroke of midnight. The surprise ended up being a performance by 80-90’s hip hop group, Salt-N-Pepa.
