Summer Street Fests
In Chicago, street festivals are a staple of the summer experience. Between the months of May and October there are over 30 festivals highlighting different neighborhoods, local eateries and bands. I always seem to miss out on the fests so I made it a point this summer to make to at least one. When I was finally back in town the last weekend of July it was time for Taste of Lincoln. It had everything you could expect from a summer festival: plenty of food stands, arts and crafts, giveaways and cover bands. I was able to snap some pictures of two bands: Rod Tuff Curls & the Bench Press (http://www.rodtuffcurls.com) and Andrew Belle. I didn’t get to spend much time at Andrew Belle but Rod Tuff Curls (or ROTC as they go by) provided enough entertainment for the whole afternoon.
