First time shooting a metal band…might be my new favorite genre in concert photography. The energy, the facial expressions and not to mention the hair flips (sorry I mean head banging) — it is everything. Everything that takes an image from ho-hum to electric. Double the Hexum, double the fun! Only a couple days after 311’s double header in Vegas, I was able to shoot them again at Crossroads KC back in Kansas City. Crossroads is by far my favorite summer venue — outdoors and intimate. Matisyahu opened for the band.
