On a recent trip to Denver, I went for concerts at Red Rocks but still had my days open to be touristy. If you are ever traveling and need tourist suggestions, I recommend googling before hand. There are tons of websites with recommendations on places to go and things to see. For Denver (and surrounding areas) tourist sites check out: http://www.denver.org/what-to-do/must-see-denver. With only 48 hours in Denver, I planned a local and day trip to the Denver Zoo and Mount Evans. The Zoo was close in proximity to downtown so it was a quick trip and a small entrance fee. Mount Evans was approximately an hour and a half out plus the driving time up and down the mountain; this will take up most of your day so plan accordingly. Below are some shots of my Denver travels.
