Here are some shots from an engagement/family shoot for Megan and Jacob outside of Mission Theater; also included is their daughter Evelyn. During editing I downloaded two different “Pretty Presets for Lightroom” so I played around with a few.
The summer has gotten away from me but I am finally posting shots from the Hangout Music Fest down in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was a beyond amazing experience and opportunity I had to be able to get my first photo pass for a festival. Photo passes for festivals are usually reserved for the media/press so I was honored to […]
When people think of paradise they probably don’t think of an all ages cruise. With bands. And drinking. And drinking games. And more bands. And sleep…wellll, you needs sleep when you’re in this kind of paradise, right? I mean sure you may have played flip cup before, but have you played it on a boat….in the Caribbean. Sure you’ve played […]
Let me start by saying I think 311 fans are widely misunderstood. Friends of 311 fans and most people on the “outside” will call what we do and love an obsession. By “do” I mean travel from city to city following them on tour, saving our paychecks to afford the next 311 cruise or 311 Day and meeting up with […]
Kansas City was lucky enough to get on 311’s winter schedule, however they did not get 2 sets due to it being a 4-act radio concert. Nevertheless, they put on a great show as always. I did not catch the first two openers of 96.5 The Buzz’s “Night the Buzz Stole XXX-mas,” but I was able to see Naked […]
While I didn’t shoot this show, I still had the need to talk about it. To non-rap/hip-hop fans, you probably think it is absurd they are practically selling out their shows in arenas across the country. However to the fans, it might have felt like a once-in-a-lifetime show. Rap artists don’t constantly tour like alternative or rock bands; the last […]
I have entered a photography contest called Exposure 2011. There are a couple different ways to win: first by having friends vote for your portfolio in the People’s Choice award. Secondly, they have a panel that picks the grand prize winner (not influenced by the People’s Choice). I need all the help I can get with votes, so you if don’t mind taking a second out of your day just click the link below and click “Vote” then “Like.” It is much appreciated and thank you for your support. Navigating a new venue can tend to be a challenge. I had never been to the Beaumont Club for a concert and if I had I probably would have done things a little differently. It is a smaller venue which in this case meant no photo pit aka no space in front of the stage free of concertgoers. It just […]
First concert since making the move back to Kansas City: Chromeo @ the Midland. Unfortunately the opener, Mayer Hawthorne, wasn’t able to perform but it was a great night after all. Chromeo played their first ever KC show and rocked it.
